So, I decided it would be best to merge their forces together and have one combined retinue. Now, this proved a bit trickier than I originally thought it would be as there were seemingly two Harringtons at Blore Heath (according the muster lists I’ve seen floating around on the internet). I had reached the end of my painting queue, but with the Cricket being on over the past few days and there being talk of the two Yorkies (as Nasser Hussein seemed to enjoy calling them) at the crease while I was deciding who to paint next, I decided on Harrington. In none WotR news, I am pleased to announce that the lads from TFL have finally put Chain of Command up for pre-order. I didn’t realise until I looked at the pictures how much errant glue there is, that will have to be removed next time I have a chance to get some painting done.

I also got around to doing his standard bearer. The Entire Retinue (minus flags for the time being)Īlso, while I was at it, I realised I had painted Salisbury’s Coat incorrectly, so a splash of white paint and this second attempt is now the correct version. So, it took a little longer than I had initially planned for, but the only real set back was finding that this damned heat had set my Green Stuff solid in the pot. This time, I have been completing the Retinues for Sir John Done and Sir Hugh Calveley.ĭuring the course of the research, I discovered, among other things, that Sir Hugh married Sir John’s daughter, which of course, gave me the idea of combining their retinues and also Sir Hugh’s coat of arms, which I really enjoyed painting.
